Quick Prep Notes
Please review the attached Shopping List and Recipe Cards before the class and have your ingredients and basic cooking tools ready.
Wash and prep your vegetables in advance.
Prepare cooked (instant) short-grain or medium-grain rice for gimbap. Long-grain rice, such as jasmine or basmati rice, is not recommended because it is not sticky enough.
Use roasted seaweed sheets for gimbap or sushi. These may also be labeled as nori sheets/gimbap seaweed

For this first online cooking class with H Mart, we prepared beginner-friendly Korean dishes that are easy to make at home and simple to enjoy in everyday life. Whether you're new to Korean cooking or already a fan. We hope this session helps make Korean food feel more approachable, practical, and fun.

Yondu Vegetable Umami Sauce
Yondu is Sempio's plant-based vegetable umami sauce — naturally fermented and made from soybeans. A few drops add rich, savory depth to any dish without overpowering it.
