Spicy fried rice
2 in one umami and spice to brighten up your fried rice
Ingredients (serves 2)
2 cups cooked rice (1 cup uncooked)
1 cup shiitake mushrooms, halved
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
3 eggs
1 bunch of scallions, sliced (about 6 pieces)
1 Tbsp. Yondu Vegetable Umami
1 Tbsp. Yondu Spicy
2 tsp chili flakes (preferably Korean Gochugaru)
How to make it

In a pan over high heat, cook shiitake mushrooms with a drizzle of oil, for two minutes or until golden brown.

In the meantime, whisk eggs in a bowl with a drizzle of Yondu Vegetable Umami

Pour beaten eggs to the pan and scramble together with mushrooms

Add rice, drizzle some more oil and fry for 2 minutes

Add Yondu Spicy, Yondu Vegetable umami and scallion and cook for an extra minute stirring

Serve sprinkled with chili flakes
Tip
When you stir-fry mushrooms, you can also add any vegetable you like, such as carrot, corn, peas or green beans.
